London, 26 January — The World Cement Association has launched the Gender Focus Network, an initiative aiming to improve the representation of women within the global cement community. WCA recognises that the cement industry around the world currently has a significant gender imbalance, and has founded the Gender Focus Network GFN to help increase awareness and to implement practical solutions to address this issue. London, 15 March — The World Cement Association announced today it has further expanded its international network of members by welcoming Blue Planet as an Associate Corporate Member. They discuss WCA's new Gender Focus Network, the issues surrounding gender diversity in the industry, the barriers that prevent women entering cement and how they can be overcome. WCA is the original international cement association, founded in with the aim of representing the interests of the whole industry.
